Krishna Raas

Celebrating the Birth of Lord Krishna today famously known as "Janmashtmi".

You would be wondering this is a fashion blog and where did certain religion or celebration of
the birth of a Hindu God is being written about. So let me tell you two prime reasons of this
particular post here.
Firstly, I (the author of the blog) is a stern believer and devotee of
Krishna, not purely due to religious reasons but due to the sheer love of his interpretation and flamboyant style, character and teachings.
And, secondly I want to cover some very beautiful garments, in terms of Indian clothing, colors, designs, drapes silhouettes and styling. So I request you go ahead read and enjoy...

Its the Indian couture, Look at the absolute brilliant portrayal of the drapes on Lord Krishna and Radha With laces, gota, beadwork, Dabka, motifs and jewels..
The styling is immaculate
On Radha- An embroidered blouse, Lehanga with big motifs with velvet applique and borders on hems with brocade and laces, Dupatta all over jaal embroidery, and a second Pashmina (Cashmere Shawl) Dupatta for a beautiful front drape with intricate Kashmiri embroidery
On Krishna- An Embroidered full sleeved Kurta paired with a dhoti hem embroidered, Stole heavily beaded around the neck and A Pashmina Shawl with intricate embroidery draped on one shoulder.
And offcourse the jewels to accessorize..
The crushed fabric used for the Radha's Lehanga and the Krishna Lower garment used with beautiful borders of brocade and hand work attached to it.

The use of beautiful Chanderis and Malmals for summer..
And offcourse with the arrival of Spring we have a fresh color palate  Lime green and Pastel pink colorway on to the dietys
As the Metro man is wearing pink too, here we see pinks added on the heavily ornamented
finery of the Gods and Goddesses.
Latest, on the block from the designers end was a presentation at the Lakme Fashion week-
Designer Neeta Lulla presented her show with the theme "Radha" for the festive season.
In display is Indian wear Sarees, Lehangas, Salwar kameez in vibrant colors.
